This statue of St. Ita presents her holding the Scriptures, her source of wisdom for her School of Sanctity. The three stars on the cover represent her devotion to the Trinity. The three snakes on the other cover refer to Christ's call to his followers, "Therefore be wise as serpents and as guileless as doves." (Matthew 10:16) St. Ita was respected for her wisdom and her gift of miracles. She is dressed in the cloak and hood of a cloistered nun.
